Zidagh was formed in may 2018. All are baskets baskets are a type of traditional woven basket from Bolgatanga, a town in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Known for their vibrant colors and intricate designs, these baskets are made from locally-sourced, durable materials such as elephant grass. Crafted by skilled artisans, zidagh baskets often feature geometric patterns and bold colors that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region. The weaving process involves a lot of skill and patience, and each basket can take several days to complete. The craftsmanship is passed down through generations, and the baskets are not only functional but also serve as a medium for artistic expression. In addition to their practical use for carrying goods, zidagh baskets are often used as decorative items and are appreciated both locally and internationally for their unique beauty and craftsmanship. They also play a role in the local economy, providing a source of income for many families in the area.
